Last Day for Spring Green Orders
It's time again for Downtown Boulder's Spring Green, which means free flowers (Petunias) for businesses in the Downtown Boulder BID. The deadline for putting in your orders is May 9th, so Click Here to register online, call our office at 303-449-3774 or fax back the Spring Green order form to 303-449-1582. Flowers will be delivered between May 20th and May 23rd.
Steps for Literacy
Casey Middle School presents Steps for Literacy from 2:15 to 3:15 p.m. on Friday, May 9th, on the bricks in front of the courthouse. This is a fundraiser for Casey Middle School. Students, faculty and family will march from the school to the Pearl Street Mall, carrying banners and leaflets of sponsors. Click here for the press release.

KidLinks Golf Tournament
The KidLinks Program at Boulder Community Hospital is a unique program for children with special needs and their families. Help Downtown send these kids to summer camp by participating in the KidLinks Golf Tournament on Wednesday, May 21st at Lake Valley Golf Club. Download the brochure and entry form here. Hop 2 Chautauqua Kickoff Party
A fun family event will kick-off GO Boulder/Ciity of Boulder’s new free HOP 2 Chautauqua transit service. The kick-off will include carrot cake, live music performed by “Blues in Transit” and a staffed information table.
The event is 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 10 at Pearl and 13th streets with the first HOP 2 Chautauqua bus leaving at noon. Open Space and Mountain Parks Rangers will also be on hand to ride the bus and lead interested riders on a Chautauqua Park hike. www.GOBoulder.net

Q: What are the enforced hours?
A: Pay stations are enforced -Monday through Saturday 9am to 7pm. Pay stations are FREE on Sunday and on city holidays. Please go to www.boulderparking.com to verify the holidays the city observes.

Farmers' Market Returns to Downtown!
This past Wednesday marked the season opener of the mid-week Boulder County Farmers' Market. "We grow what we sell!" is the motto at the Farmers' Market and they take pride in bringing you locally grown vegetables, fruits, flowers, plants, gourmet cheeses and wines sold by the farmers that produce them. While you're purchasing your fresh vegetables and fruits (many of them organically grown) enjoy a tasty pastry from local bakeries or a meal created by local chefs.
Over 80 farmers now attend the Boulder event, and as many as 14,000 people attend the market in Downtown Boulder on Saturdays in the height of the season and around 6,000 attend on a Wednesday night. “The Market has become a community icon, a gathering place, a country block in the city.” Market Director Mark Menagh notes and reminds us that the market has a great symbiotic relationship with downtown, “We develop community, and that brings people downtown to the Market as an event, not just to shop for veggies.”
So head on down to 13th street on Saturdays from 8 am to 2 pm and Wednesdays from 4 - 8 pm for the freshest in food and fun, to see your community, and get some great food! www.boulderfarmers.org
