Positive Sales Downtown

January sales tax figures from the City showed Downtown enjoyed strong sales. Downtown (excluding the Mall) was up 9% over last year and the Mall saw 3.6% growth. These numbers are particularly noteworthy because the sales tax rate decreased from 3.56% in 2007 to 3.41% in 2008. For the full report, click here.
